Microsoft is considering a $10 billion investment in OpenAI, the startup behind the famous artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT.
According to Semafor, Microsoft is "in talks" to invest at a valuation of US$29 billion, citing persons acquainted with the situation.
Other venture firms, according to the report, would contribute to the funding. It's unclear whether this has been finished, although the deal was supposed to be completed by the end of 2022.
The agreement is complicated, with Microsoft receiving 75% of OpenAi's income until it recoups its investment. After that, Microsoft would control 49 percent of Open AI, the other investors would hold another 49 percent, and OpenAI's non-profit parent firm would own 2 percent.
Microsoft currently owns a portion of OpenAI, and according to an Oct. 2022 story from The Information, OpenAI is looking for additional money from Microsoft. According to a recent report, Microsoft is trying to integrate ChatGPT into its search engine Bing.
None of this has gone ignored by Google, which has a 90 percent market dominance in the search engine area. The New York Times reported in December 2022 that Google, which is developing its own chatbots, sees ChatGPT as a serious threat to its own business. http://sentrateknikaprima.com/
DALL-E, an AI-based tool that can generate photorealistic graphics based on text prompts, is also created by OpenAI. The business is also developing a variety of other tools, such as Point-E, which can generate 3D models from simple text input.
ChatGPT's popularity looks to be growing, with individuals coming up with new methods to use the bot every day. This includes students using it to create essays for school assignments and hackers using ChatGPT to create malware. Vixus recently commissioned ChatGPT to write a Sherlock Holmes mystery, with mixed results. https://ejtandemonium.com/
